Here's what we did today:
Writing: Students worked on answering some of the questions they generated about their paragraph topics yesterday. They are doing some great research!
Reading-We examined some more text features in an article.
Social Studies-We began Chapter 5 and talked about some of the first French Explorers to make their way to Missouri trying to find a Northwest Passage.
Math-We did a lot of Math today! We will be integrating Word Study (no contract though) into Writing time and using our normal Word Study time to do geometry. This will help us to fit everything into before testing begins. First we reviewed for tomorrow's test on Chapter 12. Then we began Chapter 17 and went on a hunt for points, lines, line segments, rays, and planes.
Homework:
Writing: Students who did not finish writing questions about their topics from yesterday need to do so tonight so they can focus on research tomorrow.
Reading-Literature circles meet tomorrow. Most students are already prepared, but some have brought home their book and ThinkMark.
Math-Study Chapter 12 (Know your multiplication facts!)--WS 17.1
Have a good night!
