Here's what we did today:
Reading-We read The Bat Boy and his Violin and discussed questioning/character conflict.
Writing-We read another memoir by Betsy Byers. Students added sensory details to their personal narratives.
Math- Ch. 5 test
Time for Kids-We read an article about bullying and took a comprehension quiz.
Word Study-Groups 1 and 2 had a buddy check while groups 3 and 4 worked on their contracts.
Homework:
Read and write!
Math-Practice multiplication facts.
Science- Test Friday
Word Study-Groups 1 and 2 spelling test tomorrow.
Cold Reads due Thursday.
**Book orders are due tomorrow. There are lots of good books, including a Mark Twain nominee, 11 Birthdays!
