Here's what we did today:
Writing-Today, we learned about some different forms of poetry and discussed sensory details and personification in poetry.
Reading-We read Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt to integrate Social Studies and Reading. Students sequenced the events of the story in order to create a summary.
Math-We learned how to make metric conversions today and continued measuring items in metric units.
We also spent some time on MAP prep today. Your child should have a packet called Robin's Horn with them. It is completed and we went over it in class, but you may want to look it over as it is a good example of what the MAP test will look like.
Homework:
Math-WS 25.2, practice side
*Parents, another reminder to check your email regarding some special MAP info. Let me know if you didn't get the email.
Have a great night!
