November 4th

Happy Friday!  Here's what we did today:
Writing-Students met with a partner to revise their personal narratives.  We thought of questions to ask our partners when discussing the drafts.

Reading-We took the November Tungsten.

Social Studies-We discussed some of the entertainment in Missouri by listening to some Missouri jazz from Scott Joplin and Charlie Parker, looking at paintings by George Caleb Bingham and Thomas Hart Benton, and hearing about some Missouri authors and sports teams.

Math-We made conclusions about the data on graphs.

Word Study-Students took the same assessment I gave at the beginning of the year so that I can see if they've made progress in learning the spelling principles and if the groups need to be adjusted.

Homework:
Reading/Math-Line Graph of Reading Minutes due Tuesday

Math-WS 7.6--Chapter 7 test is Tuesday (Wednesday for LEAP kids)

Social Studies-Chapter 2 test is next Friday, the 11th

Have a good weekend!
